Treesources, a green infrastructure company based in Miami, Florida, needed a new identity and design system to carry them into the next chapter of their nature stewardship mission.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, as well as referencing the iconic EPA design system of the 1970s, the approach to the Treesources identity is a mix of organic and engineered. This ties in seamlessly with the services that Treesources provides, often finding ways for nature and the built environment to coexist. The circular icon speaks to the plant kingdom, trees, roots, and the horizon, while the wordmark features a chiseled corner typeface that is machine-rendered. In building out the design system, a strict grid is implemented to produce a scientific motif that reflects the incredibly exacting nature of Treesources’ work.
